If your state does not require home inspectors to be licensed, we provide our “generic” agreement written to comply with ASHI standards of practice. This document is conveyed to you via email as a Word document, so it can be easily edited on most computers with a Windows operating system, including changing the ASHI reference to InterNACHI or other association standards (we recommend that changes only be made by a qualified attorney in your state). It fits nicely on the front and back of a single 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper, and also contains an extensive list of items not included in the inspection, describes the scope of the inspection, places the limitation of liability at the fee paid for the inspection and the limitation of action to one year from the date of the inspection. Includes the “usual” contract items: limitation of liability, interpretations, assignment, attorney’s fees, use by client, etc. Purchasing this document entitles your company to unlimited use of this document, but you may not provide or sell it to anyone else.
