Requirements: As per the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, home inspectors require 12 Continuing Education hours for every two year renewal period which expires on November 30 of even numbered years. Up to 6 CE hours may be “electives”, defined by IDFPR as business concepts, marketing, report writing, commercial inspections, environmental issues, etc.
All classes are licensed in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin for home inspector continuing education hours. The instructor, Steve Preins, is nationally known home inspection speaker and educator, is the class author and instructor for all classes unless otherwise noted.
Illinois live class sessions are 8:30am to 12:00 noon and 1:00pm to 4:30pm, unless otherwise noted. Lunch is on your own. No refreshments are provided other than water on the tables. Please bring a pen or pencil for taking the Illinois required quiz. All classes provide 3 CE hours for Illinois and 4 CE hours for other states. The fee for each class includes the class booklet, a State required exam, a certificate of completion and CE reporting to the State of Illinois. A discount will apply if registering for more than one 3 CE hour class. If multiple CE classes are purchased, you may select from any of our scheduled class times and locations (space permitting).
